MANOLIA "LITTLE GEM" (Magnolia grandiflora)

‘Little Gem’ is an outstanding dwarf variety of the
evergreen magnolia (Magnolia grandiflora), but only
a quarter of its size. 'Little Gem' has a narrow,
compact and upright growth habit and will reach
4m high and 2.5 wide. A hardy and reliable plant
with shiny green leaves that have a rich,
reddish-brown underside and large white fragrant
flowers in summer and autumn.
'Little Gem' will grow well in most parts of
Australia from Rockhampton around the southern
coast to Geraldton in Western Australia. It is frost
tolerant to -5C once established and prefers
well-drained soil and a position in full sun or
part shade.
Ideally suited for use as a great feature plant
for gardens or large patio pots
